Chillproof shorts that are equally suitable teamed up with a Sharkskin top, under a Drysuit, or by themselves for kayaking. They are cut with a high rear waist for comfort and warmth, provide protection from chafing and peace of mind knowing that if you do get wet you will still be warm.

Chillproof is an aquatic specific windchill proof, 3-layer composite material with the thermal properties of a 2.5 to 3mm neoprene wetsuit but without many of the drawbacks of traditional wetsuits. Chillproof can be worn under a wetsuit for extra warmth and enhanced wind protection. Chillproof can also be worn by itself as the perfect watersports thermal wear or layered with other Sharkskin garments for extra warmth and insulation.

It is ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling, jet skiing, paddle watersports, board watersports, wind watersports, sailing and many other watersports.

  • Durable seam thread to resist deterioration in saltwater so the garment will last longer.

    Comfortable fit

    Good fit, came up nice and high on the waist, nice flexible material that did not restrict my movement. Did forget to tie off the drawstring at first so they did slip down a bit but once done up the drawstring held the shorts up well.

    Great quality short and love the drawstring, but a bit short in the back for me

    I bought these in a bigger size as I wanted something firm and supportive, but long to swim in at the beach vs bathers. I also take my dog swimming so wanted a sturdy fabric given my pups claws are pretty long!

    The material is fantastic, the construction great, and I love the drawstring waist. The fabric is also great. They rinse and dry well too.

    The two things that worked less well for me that held me back from 5 stars was that the back felt a bit short (could be higher waisted) and the shorts were a little tight on my legs just above the knee at their seam. I suspect they will give a bit with use, so will keep wearing them and see how I go.

    I like them enough to have told my sister to buy them (she also swims with her dogs)....

    No need for a wetsuit

    Brilliant. Swapped my 3 ml wetsuit for a sharkskin top and shorts on a 8 day diving trip to the southern tip of maldives.

    Great shorts

    Warm shorts, good movement in them but still the similar restriction of movement as most wetsuits. Fit is a generous sizing - I’m a size 12 Australian fitting and they are perfect … I have thin legs though, so a heavy legged person would be snug. The drawstring toggle is perfect!!

    My waist measures 82 cm and I ordered a size 10. It fits well when dry but the bottom of thigh area expands and loosens when wet, although it doesn’t impact on the warmth. I can recommend it.
