Warn in or around the water, the Sharkskin Junior long-sleeve full-zip top is made from Chillproof material for thermal protection in the water and 100% wind protection out of the water. Perfect for kids who feel the cold and need a little more protection than just a rash shirt.

The full-zip design allows you to zip up for 100% warmth and protection, or zip completely or partially down to avoid overheating when the sun comes out or your work rate goes up. This is the perfect ‘in water’ top that combines a 100% Chillproof design with the requirement of being easy to get on and off. It also has a high collar to keep your neck area nice and warm.

Chillproof is an aquatic specific windchill proof, 3-layer composite material with the thermal properties of a 2.5 to 3mm neoprene wetsuit but without many of the drawbacks of traditional wetsuits. Chillproof can be worn under a wetsuit for extra warmth and enhanced wind protection. Chillproof can also be worn by itself as the perfect watersports thermal wear or layered with other Sharkskin garments for extra warmth and insulation.

It is ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling, jet skiing, paddle watersports, board watersports, wind watersports, sailing and many other watersports.

    My 5 yo son loves it

    I bought a size 8 for my relatively big 5 yo son (he's around 120 cm). Fit is great although a little bully around the arms. He doesn't mind and he loves it. Been out at the beach on cold days and he doesn't complain!

    Absolute life saver!

    My son's autistic, he is extremely sensitive to the cold. We can never go swimming or go to the beach. Even most heated pools, aren't heated enough. I got him this and the shorts last minute before Christmas. I never expected it before Christmas but it came so quickly to Perth! We went to the beach, my son played in the water and on the beach for 1.5 hours! He said, he didn't feel cold at all. He absolutely loves them. Didn't want to take them off, when we got home!

    Perfect for an 11 year old action man.

    I bought this 12 year old top along with 10 year old shorts for my slim & muscly grandson. He loves them for ease of getting on and off and they were warm enough for oceanantics in Sept/Oct in NZ Northland.

    Prompt delivery meant we had them for his first regatta and I imagine they will be better than his all in one wetsuit as the weather /sea warms up.

    Really impressed

    Excellent quality. Will be a very useful item for all water related activities - my son has worn it swimming, and will also be perfect as a jacket. I like the fact it has a zipper which makes it easier to remove once wet, unlike traditional pull on versions that are really hard to pull off over your child’s head. I bought a size 10 for my 9 year old and it is a bit loose but I thought the size 8 would be too short. It will be perfect when it fits a bit more snugly.

    Keeping swimming training alive.

    The young lads suffer from the cold up here in Darwin. During the dry season the outside temp sometimes drops to 20deg C in the afternoons! Sometimes the pool doesn't seem like it's temp controlled to 27deg C and the boys sieze up and turn blue. This jacket has been an excellent comfort and kept them swimming. The only problem they have encountered is when doing butterfly the jacket is very heavy to pull out of the water and tends to choke a bit. I reckon that's a good training aid- add some levels of difficulty so in race conditions it's really easy! (I am not a swim coach). I also understand that this jacket was not designed for swim squad training, so if that's the only complaint I consider it a massive win. Otherwise it's got great fit and the neutral buoyancy works great for every other stroke and drill. The boys love their fancy fleecy Sharkskin.

    You saved winter school swimming!

    This jacket is so warm! My son says he couldn't do school swimming in August without it.

    He was a bit sensitive to the seaming initially but has settled in to it now.
